Position Descriptions and Responsibilities
Chair Elect: Write
a nomination letter addressed to the Nominations Committee Chair.
- Begins by serving a one-year term as Chair-Elect, beginning
immediately after the spring regional meeting and continuing
through the conclusion of the next spring regional meeting.
Also includes assuming the office of Chair and completing the
remaining term if the Chair is unable to complete the term for
any reason.
- Succeeds to the office of Chair when the Chair’s term expires.
Responsibilities include presiding over regional business
meetings, appointing chairs of various committees, and
representing the region at various national functions.
- Succeeds to the office of Immediate Past Chair for the year
following service as Chair. Responsibilities include
chairing the Nominations Committee.

Treasurer:

maintains the financial records
and accounts of Region IV, reporting to the membership and
national NCURA office, adhering to the schedule indicated in
the administrative procedures,

serves a two-year term,
commencing at the adjournment of the spring regional meeting
and ending at the conclusion of the second year's regional
meeting,
-
serves as a member of the
Region IV Site Selection Committee,
-
and trains the Treasurer-elect.

Elected Members to Regional Board of Directors
(Two Positions):
- Participates as voting member in all Board meetings.
- Serves a two-year term, beginning immediately after the spring regional meeting and
continuing through the next two spring regional meetings.
- Are eligible for nomination and election to successive
terms without restriction.
Regionally Elected Member to the National Board:

The Board of Directors is the primary governing body of NCURA. While
membership on the Board of Directors may occur in a variety of ways,
the charge remains the same for each member: guided by a strategic plan
and working for the good of the organization, members shall oversee and
direct the business of the national organization in accordance with
