Leaving the other regions to
count their losses, Region IV captured the top spot at last
November's Tuesday night competition, drawing more gamblers to
its Circus Circus booth than any of the other "casinos." The
December/January NCURA newsletter included on page 13 a
photograph of volunteers Robert Aull (Indiana University) and
Glenda Luecke (Washington University) in front of the Big Wheel,
as well as a snapshot of our region's Elvis complete with white
pants and lapels.
Additional volunteers for the Circus Circus booth
included Carole Bach (Wm Beaumont Hospital), Susan Beaver
(Indiana University), Jackie Hinton (Southwest Missouri State
University), Barbara Lozada (Case Western Reserve University),
Jim Maus (Washington University), Diane Meyer (Iowa State
University), Sandi Robins (University of Wisconsin-Madison),
Crystal Taylor-Nevils (University of Chicago), Jaynee Tolle
(University of Cincinnati), Melinda Weaver (University of
Cincinnati), and special kudos to Debbie Meltzer (Univ of
Wisconsin-Madison) who worked the crowd dressed as the region's
"casino change gal." |
