Meeting Summary
Riding the Rapids: The Ever-Changing World of
Research Administration
This year, Region IV was welcomed to Grand Rapids, Michigan and
the Amway Grand Hotel for the Spring Meeting. “So, what are the
highlights?” you ask. The Program Committee did an excellent job
of bringing presenters together who could cover a wide variety
of Sponsored Research topics. There was something there for
everyone and, of course, Grants.gov was covered many times. We
all learned a great deal from each other! There were so many
opportunities to meet our colleagues, including the Hospitality
Suite, a mixer at one of the lunches, Dinner Groups, the
Newcomer Reception, and Murder at the BOB. What fun!! The Awards
Luncheon gave us the opportunity to acknowledge the hard work
and extra efforts of some of our peers. The most animated
discussion at the Business Meeting concerned where to have
future meetings! All in all, there was a good blend of fun and
learning. So, whether you were there or not, I hope to see you
next year!
