Job Requirements:
Required
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities. Comprehensive knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment, and techniques; knowledge of adult learning techniques. Interacts well with other professionals. Demonstrates self-reliance and resourcefulness.
- Technical Writing Skills. Ability to comprehend and author technical documents, including grant proposals, procedure manuals, routine reports, professional correspondence, and routine subcontracts. Researches, writes and edits clinical and statistical reports and study protocol.
- Computer Skills. Experience with and knowledge of computer operations, Microsoft Office, database applications, grants.gov, and eCommons.
- Oral Communication Skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate openly, effectively, clearly, and concisely. Asks penetrating questions and avoids communication breakdown.
- Ph.D. degree preferred with a minimum of five years of experience in federal and foundation grant writing including a demonstrated track record of success in winning major public and private grants.
- Experience in non-profits a plus.
